Sneezing, cold, peptic ulcer and limes (Citrus Aurantifolia), is it safe??

I am one of people who are allergic breathing, it start from dawn until about 8 o'clock in the morning I am sneezing frequently and cold, then disappear by itself on the afternoon.

Once I got the info about the goodness of lime juice if taken with a glass of warm water early in the morning shortly after waking up. It makes sense, lime contains vitamin C to increase stamina to prevent cold.

At first I was hesitant to try as I’ve got peptic ulcer. Then I looked for articles about the content of lime. In the article mentioned that lime juice contains citric acid, and citric acid will become alkaline when enter the stomach.

Half believe half not believe, I try to drink a glass of warm water mixed with juice of ¼ cut of lime immediately after wake up. And it turned out to freshen the mouth and nose, sneezing and cold immediately reduced. But still I was not sure with my stomach. After several days of trying and found it was safe for the stomach, so the theory that citric acid turned into alkaline in the stomach is correct. Even now I suck lime directly in to mouth and followed by drink a glass of water, feels much more fresh in the mouth and nasal cavity.

Some articles also stated that the lime juice good for : reduce uric acid, whiten skin, teeth cleaning for smokers, cleaning the entire body (detoxification), prevent kidney stones, prevent coughing, maintain weight, prevent hair loss, etc.

Vitamin C in lime juice works as an antioxidant that can keep your arteries flexible and prevent plaque buildup and a frequent cause of : high blood pressure, stroke or heart attack.

Other health benefits of lime can be read here.

It is now already more than two years I’ve drank lime juice in the morning, with no side effects on the stomach. But as far as I know this is only happen to lime (Citrus Aurantifolia), not to other type of orange or lemon. Also, do not swallow lime seed.

It taste good if mixed in the food, and taste good also as a juice, warm or cold.
